Atwater Baseball Again?

That's right, we could be looking at the return of Baseball to Firemen's Memorial Field in Atwater. I remember attending games of the minor league team that was there back in the mid '90s. What fun it was and it was not even that far away. The big water tower in the background just made the entire experience so surreal.

To their credit, the City of Atwater is considering the proposal by Richard Ruiz to bring a minor league team to Atwater to play in the Horizon Air Summer Series. They are suggesting that Mr. Ruiz hold public meetings and they formed a committee to explore the idea further.

This is our time to act. Call the Atwater Parks and Recreations department and tell them to move forward with the process and increase the recreation opportunities in the Atwater Community.
